It's that time of year again for some Holiday Glam! We are excited about spending time with our family and friends, eating good food and what else? Slaying! Yes, we have to be extra glam during the holidays and I'm sharing a couple of my looks with you.
The Soft Glam Holiday Look
This look is ideal for family get togethers. I started with applying my Stila Foundation using a Beauty Blender. I applied it with a stippling motion until I evenly covered my face. In the first look I focused more on the eyes. This can be achieved by using neutral tones such as a deep brown on the crease and lid. Lightly blend the shadows then add some shimmer to the lid. This is a very simple look.
I also added some liquid eyeliner by Eyeko and some lush lashes. I'm wearing some Faux Mink lashes here by Eylure which can be found at Ulta or on Amazon. These lashes are reusable and great quality.
My lipstick is subtle and sheer. You could actually use a lip gloss to achieve this same effect. Here, I'm wearing Urban Decay's Vice Lipstick in Ex-Girlfriend which is the third shade on the bottom row.
The Holiday Party Look
The second look is a bolder. I decided to use some glitter to kick it up a notch. This look is festive and would be great for a Christmas and/or New Years Party.
Here, I started with my eyes because I didn't want to get the glitter on my foundation. I used Nyx concealer to prime my eyes before applying eyeshadow. The eyeshadows I used are from a Smashbox palette I've had for a while. I used brown and burgundy tones in my crease and blend those colors together. I then used the Nyx Glitter Brilliants GLI04 . Now this can be messy if you are not careful. Start by priming the lids with the Nyx Glitter Primer and I decided to wet a flat eyeshadow brush just a little to pick up the glitter. Next, I slowly pat the glitter over the primer until I reached my desired coverage. There will be some fallout so wipe it off with a makeup wipe and start to apply your foundation. I used the same foundation and technique as well as eyelashes for this look.
I love this lip color from Nyx Cosmetics. The name of it is Copenhagen. A great formula that goes on smooth. I finished the look off with subtle highlighting on my cheeks, nose and inner eye. I hope you liked these looks and if you have any questions send me a message on social media or comment on this post.
